U16 Team Goes 3-0 in Weekend Series Against #2 Team

The Steel City Selects U16 team recently visited the Amherst Knights, in Buffalo NY for a weekend of head to head competition.  Amherst Knights was previously ranked #2 in the country according to MyHockeyRankings.com. The weekend was packed with highly spirited and competitive play.  SCS won all three games in the series; 3-1, 5 -1 and 4-3.  
 
The players with the most points were:  Kate Sramac: 4 goals and 5 assists; Sara Gargasz: 3 goals and 1 assist; and Meghan Callahan: 2 goals and 1 assist.  Also contributing were the following players: Olivia Cindrich: a goal and an assist; Charli Wagner: 1 goal; Maddie Kessy: 2 assists; Katharine Jones: 2 assists; Ella Troy: 1 assist; Sydney Foy: 1 assist; Erika Sabilla: 1 assist; and Lauren Callahan: 1 goal.  It was a solid performance all around for the U16 team.
 
Following the game, a few players stuck around and attended the inaugural NWHL game against the Buffalo Beauts and the Boston Pride.
